Sydney Firm is one of the largest hardware and building supplies stores in Australia. An exciting opportunity has become available for a self-motivated, high performing general In-House Counsel (minimum of 2-4 years PQE) to join our Legal team in our Sydney Tools head office.  

Typical Duties
In this role, you will have an opportunity to:
Draft, review and negotiate commercial leases and contracts of sale. 
Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts.
Property manage our stores across Australia.
Appear at Civil and Administrative Tribunals and Courts (if required).
Able to provide general commercial advice.
Strong drafting skills.
Strong attention to detail.  
Good understanding of employment and commercial law.

The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor of Laws degree (or equivalent).
Unrestricted practising certificate.
A minimum of 2-4 years experience in a similar role is favourable.
Experience in Construction law is favourable.
Experience across multiple jurisdictions/states is favourable. 
Ability to think strategically, be resourceful and provide creative solutions.  
Ability to work autonomously, with a proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of our team.
Innovative and self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail.
